Keep it, or sell it?

Enter one product's revenue, costs and your hours. See what it would sell for, what you'd receive at each marketplace after fees, and whether holding beats selling once your time is counted.

Leave anything you don't know blank. Unknown is excluded, never counted as zero.

Apps and content sites count half their revenue as one-time.

How the value is estimated

Closed-deal multiples, as ranges

The value is a multiple of the product's yearly earnings, taken from what small software businesses actually sold for. The middle is the median of the sources below; the low and high ends (P25–P75) follow the spread of Acquire's sold-SaaS data. Table version 18 Oct 2026.

Sale multiples by size and type (P25 / median / P75)

  • Declining revenue: multiple ×0.5.
  • One-time revenue: valued at ×0.5; apps and content sites count half their revenue as one-time.
  • Contractors run operations: +0.5× (less owner work to buy).
  • Mostly an AI wrapper: ×0.5–0.75. This is a judgement; there is no closed-deal data for it.

Keep or sell

Your hours have a price

  • Sell now: the middle of the range, minus marketplace fees and 20 hours of your time to sell.
  • Hold, then sell: each month's profit minus your hours at your hourly value, then a sale at today's multiple at the end.
  • A decline is carried forward while holding (capped at 10% a month). Growth never is: holding is not credited with hope.
  • Break-even: the hourly value below which holding pays for your time, profit ÷ your monthly hours.
